This is not another expensive one-off.

Easy, fun and frequent team rituals focused on fact-based improvement areas.

A smart team thermometer.

We start with a quick survey to measure the current performance level of your team, based on the five key characteristics of high performing teams; goal orientation, clear roles & responsibilities, hard structures, psychological safety and cooperation.

Based on the results scores we can understand the most important team dynamics. In this example we see a team with a clear goal and a strong psychological safety. Hard structures and role clarity are points of attention.

Knowing yourself.

As the second step in the Leadener journey, we will be providing all team members with a personal DISC profile. This powerful personal assessment tool is used by over one million people every year to improve teamwork, communication, and productivity in the workplace.

The DISC profile provides a common language for individuals to better understand themselves and their colleagues. This knowledge can then be used to reduce conflict, improve working relationships, and foster a more productive work environment.

In this example profile we see a person with a primary influential behavior style. These individuals are typically enthusiastic, spontaneous, and enjoy socializing in a group setting. They excel at making contacts and maintaining relationships, which makes networking a natural fit for them. Their powers of persuasion and charisma make them effective at inspiring and motivating others.

By providing team members with their own DISC profiles, we can help them gain insights into their own behavior styles and those of their colleagues. This understanding can lead to improved communication, increased productivity, and a more harmonious work environment.

Knowing your team.

Now that you have discovered your primary behavior style, it is important to understand the mix of styles in your team. This information is particularly relevant when considering hiring a new team member. Understanding the current team dynamics and behavior styles allows you to make an informed decision on whether to bring someone in who can blend in with the existing team or provide an outside perspective from someone with a different primary behavior style.

Furthermore, the mix of behavior styles within your team can greatly impact day-to-day team dynamics. For example, if team members struggle to speak up during meetings or if the team struggles to complete final project steps, it may be due to a lack of diversity in behavior styles. It is possible that the team is missing someone with a different primary behavior style who could bring new ideas and perspectives to the table.

Consider the example of a team shown here, which is mostly composed of individuals with a compliant behavior style, closely followed by dominant style individuals. While this team may excel at paying attention to details, facts, and proof, as well as completing tasks efficiently, they may struggle with building connections within the team or bringing innovative ideas to the table. A steady style team member could bring more harmony and cooperation to the team, while an influential style team member could bring more enthusiasm and creativity.

Therefore, understanding the mix of behavior styles within your team is crucial for successful team dynamics and long-term success.
